Posázaví / Czech RepublicFavourite activities to inspire you
If you like, you can come here simply to rest. Lie down, switch everything off and not worry about a thing.
Beyond its beautiful nature, though, the area around our glamping site offers plenty of unique sights and summer and winter activities worth exploring. Here are a few ideas.

Time to get pedalling
Sázava Cycle Route
236 km along the river
The Sázava is often called the river of romantics. The cycle route alongside it is 236 km long, running from the source of the Sázava to where it meets the Slapy reservoir at Davle. Whether you ride the whole route or just a short stretch, you will pass beautiful countryside, castles, chateaux, museums and a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Pilgrimage Church of St John of Nepomuk at Zelená hora.

A legendary railway line
Posázavský Pacifik
Station 500 m from the site
A legendary railway line that has drawn Czech trampers, paddlers and romantics since the days of the First Republic. It stops just 500 m from our glamping site. Ride through beautiful wild country along the Sázava canyon, where rapids roar and footpaths lead to wooden cabins. Regular Czech Railways passenger trains and excursion trains run along the line, which has been operating for more than 120 years. In summer you can also ride a ČD steam train or the Posázavský motoráček railcar.

A Czech tramping classic
Posázavská stezka trail
Petrov u Prahy – Kamenný Přívoz
The most beautiful part of this educational trail through Posázaví starts in Petrov near Prague and ends in Kamenný Přívoz. The best way to get there is on the Posázavský Pacifik, then simply enjoy the lovely countryside around the Sázava. Walk as far as you like, and if your feet carry you further than planned, just hop back on the train, which will take you comfortably back to our glamping site.

Visit Franz Ferdinand’s chateau
Konopiště Chateau
Home of Franz Ferdinand d’Este
Konopiště, the residence of Franz Ferdinand d’Este, is known not only for its history but also as a fairy-tale film setting, where Czech classics such as “Jak se budí princezny” and “Jáchyme, hoď ho do stroje!” were shot. Surrounded by a beautiful park near Benešov, this elegant residence offers a fascinating glimpse into aristocratic life, full of weapons, hunting trophies and works of art. Step into a fairy-tale world and discover the particular charm of the place Franz Ferdinand chose as his home.

Summer and winter fun
Swimming and skiing
Slapy, Čestlice, Šibeniční vrch, Chotouň
Staying in our tiny house puts lovely day trips within easy reach. If you feel like a swim, head to the Slapy reservoir or Aquapark Čestlice. In winter you can enjoy the Šibeniční vrch or Chotouň ski areas, and if you like cold-water swimming, you can cool off not only in our bathing tub but also in open water in the Sázava or at the Slapy reservoir. Whether water or snow is your thing, there is something to enjoy here in every season.

Something for every paddler
Canoeing the Sázava
Český Šternberk, Zbořený Kostelec, Sázava Monastery
Paddle down the picturesque Sázava and discover not only its enchanting nature but also many sights you can admire straight from the boat. Along the way you will have a wonderful view of the medieval Český Šternberk Castle, its towers rising above the river, and of the romantic ruins of Zbořený Kostelec Castle. You will also pass the iconic Sázava Monastery with its striking Gothic architecture, and take in the picturesque villages and little churches along the banks.
